Hyperion participating at Op-Ex Russia & CIS 2017


Hyperion’s OTS solutions presented at the Op-Ex Russia & CIS Conference, in November 2017, in Sochi

In mid-November HyperionRSI Russia, represented by its Sales Account Manager, Maxim Fedyaev, once again participated in the Operational Excellence in Oil and Gas Production, Refining and Petrochemicals Conference and Exhibition. This time the event took place in the famous Russian city of Sochi located at the Black Sea, known as the city that hosted the XXII Olympic Winter Games three years ago.

OpEx Russia & CIS 2017 focused on important issues of achieving worldclass level of process efficiency. Key experts and specialists in the area of operational improvement from major oil and gas companies in Russia and CIS spoke at the conference presenting advanced developments and solutions in automation, control and monitoring, state-of-the-art technologies and methods for further upgrading of optimization, planning and equipment reliability processes. Key topics at the conference were Energy Efficiency and Efficient Utilization of Resources, Advanced IT Systems and Solutions, Improving Asset Reliability and Operational Availability as well as Maintenance Optimization.

At the conference Hyperion was the only company showing efficient tools based on High Fidelity process models. OTS is one of the most wellknown tools for Russian customers with interest rising. As one of Hyperion’s customers, Rosneft, pointed out during its presentation, a major lever for efficiency increasing at their plants are OTS projects, launched successfully at some refineries with 3D and virtual reality supporting technologies.

Another long-term partner of Hyperion, Slavneft YANOS, which took part in the conference, shared information with Rosneft, Gazprom, Lukoil, Sibur and other Oil & Gas and Petrochemical players about the usage of the OTS at the Yaroslavl refinery.

All participants showed great interest in the use and benefits of OTS technology, and as a result of the presentation, Hyperion was able to connect with new potential customers.

With Op-Ex being the only subjectrelated platform for discussing advanced application tasks of operations improvement in Russia, it is recognized as a window of opportunity for sharing information of state-of-theart technologies, best practices and lessons learned among Russian Oil and Gas Production, Refining and Petrochemicals.
